ABOUT
Alice Mikietyn - Loch Broom Yoga Instructor
Alice originated as an art therapist, which she practised for over 20 years. After discovering yoga in 2002 she started incorporating its methods into her work, encouraged by the positive effect it had on her patients. In 2015 she became a full-time yoga teacher, but retained all her art therapy expertise, blending psychological wellbeing and movement into practice. Currently, Alice studies applied neuroscience and takes great interest in integrating her knowledge of the bodily systems into her yoga methods and teaching.
Alice offers yoga classes, one-to-one yoga tuition and yoga retreats in which she uses her knowledge of yoga to guide you to balance and harmony. She follows a holistic approach to her practice: Yoga is much more than just the mimicking and memorising of different postures. It is a complex combination of breathing exercises and various physical movements that serve both on and off the mat to aid in everyday life.
Loch Broom - Location
Loch Broom Yoga is named after the beautiful Loch Broom, located on the west coast of the Scottish Highlands. Nearby is the idyllic village of Ullapool, and an hour away lies Inverness - the capital of the Highlands.
